visit Brazil
It would be fantastic for me to organize your trip to Brazil! Besides the tips you'd get to reach its best ecotourism spots, I am able to provide you with the best prices and services available, including English speaking guides and full travel insurance. The services are offered by operators and professional with whom I'd worked and do trust.
Brazil has one of the most spectacular ecotourism potential in the world - you can visit the country all year long; the weather is always nice. Visitors can practice all sports, but ski. However, you would definitely need more than one trip to visit the whole country, so the best bet is to choose the environment you want to experience.
The country holds different ecosystems inside its immense territory (which is almost the size of the United States). The Amazon Forest is the largest fresh water complex on Earth - an area twice as large as the country of France. Half of it belongs to Brazil. Located at the Amazon River basin, this is one of the richest biodiversity areas and one of the largest biological reserves of the Planet.
The Atlantic Forest is composed by an enormous variety of endemic animals and plants. It is divided in mosaics of smaller ecosystems, especially in the reminiscent areas by the coast. Only 5 % of the forest's original formation still exists in the country.
The Brazilian Savannas or "Cerrados" are the second largest ecosystem both in Brazil and in South America, expanding through an area larger than 2 million km2. The Pantanal, where I lived for seven years, is the largest fresh water prairie in the world. Brazil shares this treasure with Paraguay and Bolivia - and detains almost half of its land, divided between two states. The area comprises the largest density of Fauna in the Americas, with more than 650 different species of birds, more than 120 different species of mammals and more than 1,700 species of identified plants.
And if you like beaches and diving, here we go: there are nine states by the coast, stretching through more than 8,000 km. There, you can find two of the best South American diving destinations: Fernando de Noronha and Abrolhos; both places are protected areas and National Parks.
